Gears of War Remaster In Development For Xbox One, Includes Updated Visuals – Report

Gears of War remaster might be heading to Xbox One as sources confirm to Polygon that Microsoft and Black Tusk Studios are currently working on releasing a remaster of the original Gears of War for the Xbox One.

The remaster was teased earlier by Industry Insdier Shinobi602, who revealed that Microsoft might be planning a re-release of the original trilogy for the Xbox One, to be released in 2015.

Polygon has revealed today that their inside sources have confirmed such a remaster in development for the Xbox One. They also claim that they have seen stills from the revamped opening cinematic for the game.

This remaster release will include updated visuals and reworked cutscenes from animation studio Plastic Wax. It was originally rumored as a “Gears of War: Marcus Fenix Collection” but it is not confirmed whether we will get all three games or just the original.

Gears of War IP was purchased by Microsoft Game Studios last year and they hired Black Tusk Studios to work on a brand new Gears of War. We still haven’t seen anything from this new Gears of War, although it is likely that we will get to know about it at E3.
