It’s the holiday season, and as always, Gears of War is switching it up with their annual Gearsmas holiday event. This year’s event will not only be the first Gearsmas event for Gears of War 4, it will also be the biggest event for the game since it’s launch back in October.
The new trailer for the event, shown below, features some of the customization items that will be added to the game, including not only Ugly Gearsmas Armor, but also a brand new weapon variant. In total there are 28 items to collect, and they can be acquired through the new Gearsmas Pack.

- 4x Gingerbread Weapon Skins
- 4x Festive Tree Weapon Skins
- 4x Snowman Weapon Skins
- 4x JD Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
- 4x Kait Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
- 4x Swarm Wrapping Paper Weapon Skins
- 1 Commemorative Gearsmas Emblem
Additionally, the daily rewards system will also give out gifts in the form of the Chuzzmas Emblem on 16th December and the Ice Boomshot on 27th December.
Gearsmas will also add a brand new custom holiday mode called Snowball Fight. This is a Team Death Match in which players start out with the Snowshot, a Boomshot variant that fires snowballs, and 2 Snowballs. When players run out of ammo, they will have to scramble to collect more.

Released on 11th October, 2016, Gears of War 4 is available now on the Xbox One and the PC. The game is also on discount with 35% off until 28th December.
