God of War: Ascension Goes In-Game With Latest Update To PS3 Emulator RPCS3

God of War: Ascension was released after God of War. It was a prequel to the series but it, unfortunately, didn’t manage to do as well. There were rumors about the game being remastered for the PS4 just like God of War 3 but they never materialized.

RPCS3 is a PlayStation 3 emulator that has made a good amount of progress since last year. The most recent update for the game now shows that God of War: Ascension can go all the way to in-game but there are some issues with it that still needs to be fixed. These issues include the low frame rate it runs during emulation and the various visual glitches. The same is the case with Yakuza Kenzan. Full details around the progress of the emulator were shared by the devs on the official blog for the emulator.

RPCS3 devs have also shown that Metal Gear Solid 4 and The Last of Us are able to go in-game with the emulator so it is now just a matter of time when further optimizations and fixes will be able to make the game playable on PC with the benefit of emulation.
