God of War is all set to release today and while the game has received rave reviews so far, it is also the best rated PS4 exclusive of all time. All of this has resulted in a lot of hype being generated for the game making it one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusive.
NPD analyst Matt Piscatella recently talked about the sales expectations for God of War on PS4 and stated that the game is set to have the biggest exclusive debut for the PS4. This means it is going to surpass Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn in term of launch week sales, atleast in North America.
So, my confidence is high that God of War will be the biggest exclusive debut on the PS4. Only question I have left is how high is the sky for a primarily story driven, non service game. Haven't seen a game like this rated this highly in years, so this will set the benchmark.

When it comes to PS4 exclusive games, Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted 4 have both sold through a record amount of copies in their debut week. Horizon Zero Dawn currently stands at over 7.5 million copies sold so far while Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End sold 8.7 million copies by the end of 2016. If God of War can get a bigger debut week in sales, it is possible that it might end up achieving similar level of success.
If you haven’t managed to keep up with the game, there is a massive day one patch for the retail version. PS4 Pro users can also enjoy a performance mode along with 4K support and if you have a digital pre-order, it is currently available to download and play through the PlayStation Store.
