God of War PS4 is currently set for a release in early 2018 but there is no word on an official release date, which is making some fans anxious as they eagerly wait for the game. God of War game director Cory Barlog occasionally answers questions asked by the fans on Twitter and recently he talked about the release date and potential season pass for the game.
According to the Tweet made by Cory Barlog, God of War PS4 won’t have any Season Pass. This is something that was also said by Horizon Zero Dawn developers, but the game later ended up with a expansion ‘The Frozen Wild’, although it was technically not a part of the Season Pass.
No season pass. As for the story questions – you will have to wait and play the game to see how it all shakes out. I just finished another play-through last night around midnight and it was still awesome! I'm totally biased, though.

As for the release date, Cory didn’t seem to imply the announcement is due soon, but he simply asked for the fans to wait a while since the release date might be announced at some point.
not today, sorry. but I promise I will say a release date at some point.

oh, don't say that. He's good. Everything will happen when it is supposed to. Until then, know this, everyone here is sacrificing a great deal of their time to make this game great. We do this because we love what we do, but we also because, like you, we love games.

Lastly, there was a hilarious banter between Cory Barlog and Neil Druckmann, who is currently hard at work on The Last of Us Part 2.
Ok, I can do that. Trade you. Although, since some think Iām just copying TLOU, you basically already have a copy of the game…in that case, can you tell me how it ends? ššš and still get me an advance copy of part II. After all, need to start planning my sequel.š

So beautiful. I always thought that is how it would end…here you go! pic.twitter.com/aoiZfqxzJj

As the Tweet shows, this was a mockup boxart and not the actual final game. Judging from the comments made by Cory, the game still seems to be in active development and should hopefully get a release date announcement once the developers are sure about it.
God of War PS4 was revealed at Sony’s E3 2016 press conference and the game is set for an early 2018 release window. The official PlayStation Store had listed it for March 22nd release but that was later removed and there is no word on when it is actually going to release on the PS4 now.
