God Of War Patch 1.17 Fixes HDR Issues

Sony Santa Monica has released another update today for God of War. This is the largest update so far and from the reports, it has been confirmed to fix the HDR issue that some players started to face after installing update 1.16.

The patch notes for update 1.17 again don’t mention much aside from the various performance and stability improvements. It is also the largest update so far after the post launch updates.

If you had download patch 1.16 and started to notice that the lighting was looking different, this update might finally resolve this issue for you. The issue was not as common place and only occured for some users. The game will also get a photo mode as a free update after launch but there has been no timing given for it yet.

It is on pace to have the best debut for a PS4 console exclusive. It is also the best rated PS4 exclusive of all time beating The Last of Us from Naughty Dog. The game was directed by Cory Barlog who previously worked on God of War 2.
