Polyphony Digital is teasing a new update for Gran Turismo Sport that will add several new cars. It is set to launch on January 17th.
Yamauchi himself shared a tweet that teased a new car and confirmed that this update will launch on January 17th for the PS4. It is a part of the long-standing support for the game which launched back in 2017. After disappointing with lack of content at launch, Gran Turismo Sport has continued to receive free content with each update adding cars, tracks, gameplay modes, and more.

While the details around this update are still shrouded in mystery, the following cars are being speculated based on the image shared by Kaz Yamauchi.

In other news, Polyphony Digital has opened a new studio that is being developed in parallel with the new Gran Turismo. While it is possible that they will work on a mainline sequel, they can also release another spin-off just like Gran Turismo Sport. As for the sales, it has been doing well in the European market and with the inclusion of PlayStation VR, there is further incentive to buy it for the VR experience.
