Gravity Rush 2 Has Been Delayed To Early 2017

Originally planned for a release on 30th November for Japan, and 2nd December for the US and UK, Gravity Rush 2 has now been delayed to early 2017.

This announcement comes from Keiichiro Toyama, Game Director for Gravity Rush 2, who made the announcement in an official post on the PlayStation Blog. According to him, though development on the game is proceeding very smoothly, there was a need for additional polish of some of the game’s features, hence the decision to delay the game was made.

Keiichiro Toyama said:

Gravity Rush 2 is the conclusion of Kat’s journey, so we want players to have enough time to dive deep into her story. In addition, as a lot of work went into online features that allow for asynchronous player interaction, we want as many people as possible playing the title at the same time. Thus, after careful deliberation, we have decided to change the release date.

He then goes on to apologize to players anxiously awaiting the game’s release and, in a very surprising move, announces that the premium DLC planned for Gravity Rush 2 will now be available to all players absolutely free of charge as compensation for the delay.
