Rockstar Games has acknowledged the issues faced by players after using Suspend/Resume in GTA Online on their PS4, after updating it to the latest 2.50 firmware update.
GTA Online might not be the only game to have faced issues with suspend/resume feature as Sony’s own Bloodborne has been having issues with the suspend/resume feature of the PS4.
Thankfully there is a fix to issue, as detailed by Rockstar on their official support website.
Question: PS4 now supports keeping an application suspended while the console is in Rest Mode. I entered Rest Mode while in GTA Online. After powering the console back on and resuming GTAV, I was placed in a Freemode by myself. Even when I try to switch to a new Freemode, I am the only player. How can I play with other players again?
Answer: We are aware of an issue with solo sessions after resuming GTA Online from the PS4’s Rest Mode with the game suspended. This can be resolved by closing GTAV in the PS4 XMB, then re-launching the game. If you are a GTA Online player and would like to use the suspend/resume feature, it is best to wait for a proper fix, or use this temporary fix in the meanwhile.
