Halo 5 Confirmed To Get True 4K Support For Xbox One X

Halo 5 is one of the rare first party game that was missing from Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference. The game wasn’t announced for Xbox One X support even though almost every other major first party game was confirmed to get it. Halo is one of the biggest franchise on the Xbox One so its absence was noted and Phil Spencer assured that they have plans for it.

Today, 343 Industries has finally revealed their plans for Halo 5 on the Xbox One X confirming True 4K support for it. This means the game will run at native 4K on the Xbox One X compared to the Dynamic 1080p resolution on the Xbox One.

Today we are excited to officially confirm that Halo 5 will receive a game update to support true 4K with the release of Xbox One X later this year! We’ll have more to share on this front as we get closer to release, so stay tuned.

More details about the Xbox One X features will be revealed at a later date. Considering Halo 5 was one of the best looking game on the Xbox One, it will be interesting to see how the developers transition to the Xbox One X. Halo 5 is developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft.
