Halo Wars 2 announced for Xbox One and Windows 10

Halo Wars 2 has been officially confirmed during Microsoft’s briefing, as a new cinematic trailer has been released. The game is a sequel to the original Halo Wars which was released all the way back in 2009.

The game shines light upon a new band of enemies called The Banished, and the lead villain is known as Atriox. The game is included in the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which means progress and achievements will carry over between PC and Xbox.

The game’s being developed by Halo head studio 343 Industries, but is being put together with help from The Creative Assembly, the studio responsible for many tactical games, namely the Total War series on PC. The game is releasing on the 21st of February 2017.
