The holiday season is upon us, and Microsoft has taken this opportunity to bring a number of previously promised social features for the Xbox One.
According to a post on Xbox Wire, features such as Clubs, Looking for Group (LFG), Achievement Rarity, Group Messaging, and a number of other features are set to roll out to the wider community on not only the Xbox One, but also on the Xbox app on Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices. Another accompanying feature, Arena, is still currently in Preview but will also launch soon after this update.

The list includes:
Clubs on Xbox Live: These are basically gamer created and managed groups that can help players meet others who share similar interests with them. As a member of a club, you will be able to set up parties, play games, share content, and easily communicate using both voice and text chat with others in the club across all platforms. Anyone is able to create or join a Club.
Looking for Group on Xbox Live: This is basically a matchmaking system that will allow players to find others to help in, lets suppose, completing a particular quest in games such as Destiny or to go achievement hunting in Gears of war 4. You can add filters to the search such as the language spoken, game modes or even a mic requirement for playing.
Achievement Rarity: This feature helps you to discover just how unique a specific achievement is among players of a given game. When you earn one of these rare Achievements, you’ll get a special notification and a diamond icon highlighting it.
Group Messaging on Xbox Live: This allows a single group message to be sent to everyone in a single conversation. Group Messaging works across the Xbox One, and the Xbox app on Windows 10, iOS, and Android devices. Microsoft has also added a new predictive dictionary to help users type messages even faster on the Xbox One.
Gamerscore Leaderboard: The Gamerscore Leaderboard will now reset at the beginning of each month, instead of the previous method of displaying results for a 30-day rolling period. What this means is that players will now start with a clean slate each month.
Emojis for your Xbox One virtual keyboard: Exactly what it implies. In addition to the existing alphabet and symbols that are available, you’ll now be able to express your likes and dislikes with a host of different emojis on Xbox Live.
