Hideki Kamiya hints at potential Bayonetta 3 and Okami 2

Okami, one of the greatest games ever to have graced the Playstation 2, could be getting a sequel. The game was released by Capcom and Clover studio 10 years ago, and many of us even came to terms with the fact that we might never get a part two. The most we did get was an HD remaster of the game on PS3. But Hideki Kamiya, the director of Platinum Games has teased the entire gaming community, suggesting he has plans for Okami 2, as well as Bayonetta 3.

In an interview with METRO at E3, Kamiya was asked whether he was thinking about making a third installment for Bayonetta, with the last one releasing in 2014. He replied saying “Of course we want to make 3,” following up with, “Why should it end at 2?”

Hideki Kamiya had not discussed his plans with any publishers as yet, but went ahead saying  “I’ve spent a lot of time thinking in my head what that game would be. I’ve got ideas in my head for Okami 2 as well.”

The upcoming Microsoft-exclusive Platinum game, Scalebound, could also be getting a sequel already, as Kamiya claims “We’ve got other Scalebounds in our heads too.”

This is all big big news – Bayonetta 3, Okami 2, and more Scalebound games have all been teased. We can only hope that Platinum doesn’t go bankrupt and go ahead and work on these titles. I, for one, would give any amount of money needed for an Okami sequel.
