Hitman hits next -gen platforms on Dec. 8; expanded environments and improvisation elements included

During Square Enix E3 2015 conference, a brief video of the upcoming game spearheaded by IO Interactive and Square Enix Hitman was showcased to the audience and will be available to play on next generation platforms on Dec. 8, 2015.

In the video, Agent 47 is expected to assassinate a high profile target by the name of Victor Novikov, who appears to be a wealthy philanthropist, but runs an international crime syndicate called IAGO. Similar to Novikov, there are going to be a boatload of enemies possessing the same level of importance as Novikov, and that only means that players are going to have to think of various tactics in order to complete the mission successfully.

As it so happens, the gameplay has included a ‘freedom of approach’ element, where players are given complete autonomy to be able to take any route in order to complete the mission. The approach can be as silent as the night, or can approach the target guns blazing. The assassination technique can become a cold-blooded murder scene in the eyes of the public, or end up being a genuine masterpiece of assassination.

All of the aforementioned choices are left for the player to decide. Additionally, new locations and missions will appear overtime, depending on the player’s success. One challenging element introduced in Hitman is that some targets will only appear once and for a limited time period.

If the target manages to escape, or if the time expires, that particular individual will not reappear again. Furthermore, ‘Contracts’ is also included in the upcoming title, where players can take on the rest of world’s virtual assassins.

As stated earlier, Hitman is expected to arrive for next generation platforms, which includes PS4, Xbox One and PC on Dec. 8, 2015.
