Horizon Zero Dawn has received a brand new update today that adds a new game plus mode to the game in addition to various other features. The new game plus mode allows the user to carry all their previous equipment and skills into a new game but there are certain other additions to this mode as well that won’t be possible if you start from scratch.
How To Start New Game Plus Mode
To start the New Game Plus mode in Horizon Zero Dawn, you need to have completed the game with a complete save file available to load. You won’t be able to simply pick new game + from the main menu so you need to load the save file and then choose the option to continue from a new game plus loadout in order to start it.
What Is Included In New Game Plus Mode
The new game plus mode in Horizon Zero Dawn implements the following changes.
- All Equipment and Skills carry over from your old playthrough aside from the quest related items.
- Difficulty level is locked in new game plus mode.
- New ‘Adept’ weapons and outfits are available with extra modification slots.
- You can use the Shield-weaver Armor and Sylen’s Lance but not the Stalwart Outfit.
How To Unlock New Face Paints And Focus Elements
In order to unlock the new face paints and focus elements, you will need to finish the game on the hard difficulty setting. To unlock all customization, finish the game on the new Ultra Hard difficulty setting.
