NetherRealm Studios’ Sequel to Injustice:Gods Among us will not feature fatalities. During an interview with IGN, the studio’s creative director, Ed Boon, confirmed the game’s lack of fatalities, and even commented upon Mortal Kombat X’s inclusion of one-button ‘Easy Fatalities’, mentioning “it was a very successful feature in the game, it was hugely successful.”
With that out of the way, Ed Boon assured fans the studio “will never switch to just one-button fatalities, where a fatality doesn’t mean anything.”
Additionally, the Mortal Kombat co-creator possibly revealed a few more of the characters included in Injustice 2’s roster, by posting a photo of the upcoming game’s t-shirts, which are going to be given away this weekend, at the Season 3 ESL Mortal Kombat finals. Upon closer inspection, there are several superhero and super villain logos imprinted on the shirt, which may hint at a few of the possible characters coming to the game.
Harley Quinn’s hammer doesn’t need pointing out, but Eventhubs were quick to identify Captain Cold’s gun and Doctor Fate’s mask.
Did you spot any other logos on the shirt? If so, be sure to let us know in the comments below! Also be sure to share your stance on the lack of fatalities in Injustice 2.
