Resident Evil 2 Remake is a survival horror third person shooter based off the original PS1 title from 1998. Although a multi-platform game, many are wondering if Resident Evil 2 Remake is available on the Nintendo Switch, read on to find out.
Resident Evil 2 Remake is being developed by Capcom’s R&D Division 1; developers of the Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Dead Rising franchises.
The game is being developed by Capcom’s RE Engine, first seen in Resident Evil 7 back in 2017. The engine has so far been only ported to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Another RE Engine game, Devil May Cry 5, too will only released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Although Capcom hasn’t ruled the possibility of the engine being used for games for the Switch, currently Resident Evil 2 Remake is not available for the Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Switch is selling like hot cakes and third-party developers like Capcom are certainly keep their tabs on the consoles. Hopefully RE Engine and by extension, Resident Evil 2 Remake should make its way onto the Nintendo console.
