Finally, some Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster news!
According to Japanese magazine VJump Square Enix will be releasing Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster in Japanese stores December 19th. The PS3 version will be priced at ¥7980 while the Vita version is ¥4480 per game (X and X-2 will be sold separately on Vita).
Announced back at TGS 2011 Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD will be Square Enix’s second HD collection to hit stores after Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX. Both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 which were originally released on the PS2 and will be improved with high resolution textures, remade models and a rearranged soundtrack. Both titles will include all region specific content along with a brand new 30-minute Picture Drama taking place after the ending of X-2.
Expect an official announcement at TGS starting tomorrow.
Update: Unfortunately this turned out to be fake, there was nothing in this week’s VJump about the game.
Update: The game has now been officially confirmed for a Winter worldwide release.
