Jump Force only offers an improved resolution on the Xbox One X with native 4K support. PS4 Pro, PS4 and Xbox One have to settle with 1080p resolution while all platforms target 30 FPS.
Jump Force is the latest fighting game from Bandai Namco featuring an all-star cast of characters from the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. It runs on Unreal Engine 4 but apparently, only the Xbox One X version offers any enhanced features on consoles.
Digital Foundry has shared their tech analysis of Jump Force confirming that the game runs at native 4K on the Xbox One X. What is more surprising is how there is no improvement for the PS4 Pro version, which offers visual parity with the PS4 and Xbox One. There is no benefit offered by the PS4 Pro here making it one of the worst versions to own since even the performance is not that great.
Jump Force also suffers from performance issues on all four platforms. It can drop to under 30 FPS depending on the intensity of the scene while the performance suffers more during multiplayer. The game looks impressive visually but the performance is less than satisfactory especially for a fighting game. The lack of any PS4 Pro support is also disappointing to see here.
Jump Force is available now for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
