Kingdom Hearts 3 Epilogue And Secret Movie Is Not Accessible Without Update To Avoid Leaks

Kingdom Hearts 3 epilogue and the secret movie might not get leaked early as most fans were fearing after early copies were out. This was confirmed by Square Enix.

Recently, it was revealed that Kingdom Hearts 3 retail copies are out almost one and a half month early than the official release date. This resulted in some fans fearing for the worst that someone might be able to spoil most of the game’s story and secrets before it was even available for the public.

In a message posted on the social media accounts for Kingdom Hearts, the game director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that the retail discs don’t ship with an epilogue and secret movie, and they were planning to release them later to avoid any leaks.

We’re aware that a small portion of KINGDOM HEARTS III has been circulating online before its official release. We are also aware as to how this has all happened. We’re sorry to see this caused concern amongst our fans who are excited for the release.
The whole team has been working together since yesterday night (Japan time) to investigate what we can do to better this situation, but first we would like to ask that you do not share these videos.
The game’s epilogue and secret movie, which are the biggest spoilers in this game, are planned to be released at a later date just in case, so they will not be shown before the game’s release.
We want everyone to be able to equally experience the full game after its release, so we ask for your continued support on this matter.
We’re also very grateful that our fans have been warning each other already about the spoilers. Thank you very much.
We’re one month out from the release. Let’s enjoy the game together when it releases on January 29, 2019.
-Director Tetsuya Nomura

Hopefully, this message is enough to calm down some of the die-hard fans who are in panic mode and going on a social media blackout after the news of the leak was shared yesterday. There haven’t been any new leaks for the game aside from a footage showing the opening prologue, but that’s it for the most part.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to launch on January 29th, 2019, for the PS4 and Xbox One.
