Kingdom Hearts 3 ESRB Rating Mentions “Alcohol Reference And Fantasy Violence”

Square Enix’s upcoming major project is Kingdom Hearts 3 which made a splash recently at Xbox X018 event. The game is confirmed for the PS4 and Xbox One.

ESRB has now updated their rating for the game which was confirmed to be rated for everyone aged above 10. The rating now has the full description for the game as well mentioning that the game has “Alcohol Reference and Fantasy Violence.”

Here is the full ESRB rating as seen below. Just be aware of any potential spoilers for the game.

This is an action role-playing game in which players follow Sora and his friends as they battle an evil force. From a third-person perspective, players explore Disney-themed worlds, gain cartoon-character allies, and battle shadowy creatures along the way. Players use key-shaped swords, whimsical magic attacks, and special powers/attack moves (e.g., blasts of water, cartoony blasters) to defeat enemies in frenetic combat. Some sequences allow players to pilot robots or small ships that shoot projectiles at enemies from a first-person perspective. A handful of cutscenes depict off-screen stabbings/impaling of protagonist characters.

There doesn’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary. You can expect to see the same Kingdom Hearts content as in the past games.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be available on January 29th for the PS4 and Xbox One.
