Knack was an original platformer that was released for the PS4 on its launch back in 2013. The game tried to retain the look and feel of classic platformers like Crash Bandicoot series and had a good bit of difficulty curve.
At their PlayStation Experience 2016 keynote, Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that a sequel to Knack will be released for the PS4. Although no release year was given for it, judging from what we have seen of the gameplay, it looks set to release next year.
Knack 2 appears to have massively improved from the original and now features co-op based action and new abilities that will make the platforming all the more fun.
The original Knack was designed by Mark Cerny, who is famous for his work as hardware architect for the PS4 and the PS4 Pro. Knack 2 appears to be another sequel from Sony’s Japan Studio that is currently working on The Last Guardian set to release on December 6th.
Watch fun-filled action in Knack 2, an upcoming title exclusive to PS4 and developed by JAPAN Studio. Experience new moves, improved couch co-op, vibrant environments, and fun-filled combat with huge Knack! Try driving a tank, controlling a robot, or testing out your new moves on a friend.
