Kodi is a popular media streaming application that is available on almost every major device. It hasn’t made its way to the Xbox One or PS4, mainly due to the nature of its usage, but that all changed recently when the Windows 10 version of the application made its way to the Xbox One as well.
If you have installed Kodi as a Media Server, just like it is the case with Plex, you can now enjoy it on your Xbox One as well. To download it, you can check out the individual links for US and UK region to get the application added to your ‘Ready To Download’ list on your Xbox One.
This project originally started all the way back on the OG Xbox with the purpose of developing a media center for it. Back then, there weren’t as many devices to use as a media center as it is the case now, so it gained popularity rather quickly. The name Kodi was changed to make it a more general purpose application and it has been supported by a wide range of Android devices.
Xbox One has support for some of the Windows 10 applications so you can download media players like VLC or media servers like Kodi. Plex is also available as a media streaming service but with official support from the developer.
