A few weeks back, game designer Hideo Kojima had revealed plans to showcase a new gameplay demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom pain, which would focus specifically on the Mother Base and how it grows over the course of missions. Though, he was unsure at the time if he would be able to take the time out to work on such a demonstration, as he is undoubtedly hard at work putting the final touches on his last Metal Gear title.
Today, a couple of photos taken at Konami HQ have surfaced on the internet, showing that the Mother Base demonstration is indeed in the works. The photos can be seen below.
With the game being just about a month away from release, his is likely to be the last official media we’ll be seeing from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain prior to its inevitable launch trailer.
In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, your Mother Base works as your resource hub. As you complete missions, you have the opportunity to gather supplies, recruit soldiers, capture vehicles etc. By gathering resources, you’ll gradually be able to develop your Mother Base. Those who have previously played Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker should be familiar with the concept.
We’ll keep you posted on the schedule for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s Mother Base presentations as it becomes available. In the meanwhile, let us know if you’re expecting from the demonstration in the comments below.
