XSEED Games has finally revealed the release date of the hotly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. The original game was released on PSP more than 4 years ago and since the story ended on a cliffhanger, fans have been demanding for the sequel for a long time now.
XSEED Games has now confirmed that the game will be released on October 29th for the PSP/Vita and PC. It will retail for $29.99 and should be available on US PlayStation Store, Steam and GOG.com for PC. A European release is also planned shortly afterwards and XSEED Games will share more details about its release date soon.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in Sky is a Japanese role-playing game developed by Nihon Falcom. It was originally released as a trilogy of games with a total of three chapters released in the form of three different games for the PSP. XSEED Games picked up the localization of the series and brought the first chapter to the West. Sadly the sales of the first chapter were disappointing for XSEED Games since it was released during a time when piracy was rampant on PSP. XSEED Games later ported Trails in the Sky FC to PC and considered it a major success. This resulted in them bringing the Second Chapter to PSP/Vita and PC. Hopefully this sequel gets enough exposure and sales that we eventually get the final chapter in the trilogy as well.
