Was a Liberty City DLC for Grand Theft Auto V in the works?

Although Grand Theft Auto V came out a good three years ago, there still hasn’t been a story DLC released for the game. Grand Theft Auto V was re-released for the PS4 and Xbox One last year and many fans were sure that a story DLC will surely follow.

It seems that fans aren’t wrong as according to Portfolio images by one of Rockstar’s artists, Adrian Page, several images of noteworthy locations from Liberty City were created in the GTA V engine.

Members over at GTAForums were quick to dissect the screenshots upon discovery and recreated them in GTA IV’s video editor for comparison. They look the same to me but could very well be mock locations used for testing.

Liberty City was the location of many great Grand Theft Auto games including Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony and GTA: Chinatown Wars.

This means that Rockstar certainly did some work for future locations on the game. Hopefully we get some positive news at E3 as the wait for a story DLC has been way too long.

Do you think that developers Rockstar were planning on releasing a Grand Theft Auto V story DLC taking place in Liberty City? Let us know in the comments below.
