Almost as if they’re intentionally trying to win a reward for atrocious customer support, Warner Bros. has decided that Mortal Kombat X on PC won’t be receiving the upcoming Season 2 characters DLC pack, effectively ending support for the title on the platform.

The news was revealed by “community specialist” Tyler Lansdown over on the Test YouR Might forums, where it was explained that Mortal Kombat XL (a collection of the main game and all DLC) as well as the Season 2 DLC will only see a release on the Xbox One and PS4.
As you can probably guess, reactions haven’t been positive. The backlash on the Steam forums is even more heated. Some users have commented stating that they bought the PC version because they specifically wanted to play the new characters – the fact that the content will only appear on Xbox One and PS4 and not PC was only announced today.
The PC version of Mortal Kombat X was plagued with issues at launch, with the game being unplayable for a matter of days. This is just the final nail in the coffin for the company’s already dreadful support of Mortal Kombat X on PC.
