Last month, 2K Games released Mafia 3 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. 2K Games reported that during the first week of release, they shipped more than 4.5 million copies of the game. Making Mafia 3, 2K Games’ fastest selling game of all time.
The achievement was announced in 2K’s earning reports, which came out yesterday. Keep in mind that the number given above is the number of games shipped, not the number of games sold.
The game has been getting mixed reviews by many. Many have called the game boring and dull, while some loved the game’s storyline. Players are still waiting for the DLC for Mafia 3, which will add more content to the game.
After the release of the game, PC players complained about the 30 FPS cap on the game which hindered their gaming experience. An update fixed that issue, and removed the 30 FPS cap from Mafia 3 and was around 1.2GB in size. The update also improved the keyboard mapping, which was also something the players complained about.
Mafia 3 is developed by Hangar 13, and is being published by 2K Games. The game is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
