Mafia 3’s Latest PC Update Is Live, Removes 30 FPS Cap

Mafia 3’s latest update for PC is now live on Steam. This update also removes the 30 FPS cap allowing users to enjoy an uncapped frame rate for the game. In addition to removing the 30 FPS cap, the update also has some other optimization and tweaks for the base game.

This update is around 1.2 GB in size and should be downloadable on Steam after going live today.

As for the changes in this new patch, in addition to unlocked FPS, it also improves keyboard mapping as detailed on the official website.

PC players, reboot Mafia III because patch 1.01 is now available for download. This patch includes 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options on PC. To select your framerate, just head to the display menu in-game. Just make sure to tailor the framerate settings to the power of your machine. This patch also includes improvements to keyboard remapping, so head to the controls menu to check out the options. Note: this patch resets keyboard mapping to default, so any changes you made to the controls previously will need to be customized after installing the patch.

Mafia 3 is available now for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. It was developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games.
