The highly anticipated release of Hangar 13’s game Mafia 3 is less than a week away, and now we’ve learned that there probably won’t be any reviews leading up to the game’s launch.
This information comes courtesy of Polygon, who reported that they were contacted by a 2K representative who told them that 2K Games would not make review copies of the game available to press prior to the actual launch of the game. They then went on to report that the game will instead be unlocked on digital retail storefronts at approximately 4:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on Thursday, which will mark the game’s “first global availability.”
Earlier this month, the developer released an official blog post detailing some of the free, as well as the paid post launch content planned for the game. This includes everything from new customization options, weapon packs, alternative outfits, and the three major paid expansions named Faster, Baby!, Sign of the Times and Stones Unturned.
Then a few weeks ago, Hangar 13 also released the official system requirements for the game.
Mafia III is set to release for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC on 7th October, 2016. For more information on the game, click here.
