The Mammoth: A Cave Painting released on Apple and Android devices

Former developers of Yager, Isaac Ashdown, Jan David Haseel and a 15-year industry veteran Rafal Fedro, have left Spec Ops: The line and Dead Island 2 studio to make their own outfit, which is known as InBetweenGames. The first game they’ve created while working in this studio is The Mammoth: A Cave Painting, which has been conceived from the idea of prehistoric cave-paintings.

InBetweenGames studio says that it is working on multiple updates for the studio’s first big release. These updates are scheduled for the fall 2016 as mentioned by the studio. Other than that, no further details are available about the game, but the studio mentioned the following:

We’re not doing pixel art nor puzzle platformers.

Deep Silver recently removed Yager as the developer for Dead Island 2. The former developers of Yager say that the development for Dead Island 2 is “cancelled”. While on the other hand, Deep silver clarifies that the development is still in progress and they are trying their best to enhance the quality of game.

Hassel said the following in an official statement:

While we have Spec Ops: The Line under our belt we still feel like we have something to prove. We want to make games and give them to you. That’s what we’re here for. That didn’t really work out in AAA the last couple of years for us. So we will have a go at this indie thing and don’t hold back intending to punch above our weight class as hard as we can. It will either work out or it will go up in flames. But it will be fun. You should watch.

The Mammoth: A Cave Painting was released few days later after Ubisoft announced Far Cry Primal. Fedro had the following response to Ubisoft’s announcement:

Haha… straight coincidence! I was really surprised when I’ve seen announcement trailer. We have this running joke that we are the ‘trend-setters,’ but of course that’s not true. To be able to ship it in 2016–they must have been working on it for at least one year now. It’s an interesting direction Ubisoft is taking for Far Cry series.

You can download InBetweenGames studio’s first big game for Apple and Android devices or you can also play the game on PC by downloading it through your browser.

Further details regarding the game are available on InBetweenGames studio’s official site.
