Mario Kart For Nintendo Switch To Feature Battle Mode, New Tracks And Characters – Report

Nintendo Switch is set to launch this year and to detail the launch games, Nintendo will host a launch event confirming the software that will be released alongside the Nintendo Switch this March.

We have already seen a promotional video for the Nintendo Switch that also shows some of the games that will be released for it, among them, we can see some third party games like Skyrim: Special Edition and NBA 2K along with many of the popular Nintendo IPs like Mario Kart and Splatoon.

While there are no official details regarding any of these games for the Switch, EB Games Australia might have leaked the new features for the upcoming Mario Kart based on the boxart for the game (via reddit). This boxart shows an art similar to Mario Kart 8 and the game is also listed as such, although it could be just a placeholder.

The new features that are advertised on the boxart include a new battle mode, 24 extra tracks and 10 new characters for the re-release of the game on Nintendo Switch. Take this information with a grain of salt as it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Nintendo Switch is currently set to launch this March and will feature next generation hardware that allows users to play the game either at their home or take the hardware with them to play it as a portable.
