Marvel’s Spider-Man will get a day 1 patch, as it has been confirmed by Insomniac Games. There were no official details shared for what is included in the day 1 patch until recently when they were accidentally revealed by someone who has a review copy. While that person quickly deleted his comment, it was not before they were preserved online.
Evan Filarca is the head of Spidey Squad, a fan group focused on Spider-Man. He recently posted about getting a review copy from Insomniac Games. In case of early review copies, sometimes you also get patch notes for them and this was no exception for Spider-Man as well. The patch notes that were given are usually under NDA but maybe it was not made clear, and hence they were shared online.
- New Game+, along with additional “Ultimate” difficulty level.
- Continued additional polish and minor bug fixing.
- Photo mode, including the ability to add fun stickers and frames.
Take these patch notes with a grain of salt, as they are not officially announced by Insomniac Games. Since the person who shared it realized the mistake and deleted them, it is possible that they might be real. We will find out once the game launches this September.
Spider-Man PS4 will be released on September 7th. It is being developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
