Despite the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Marvel’s Spider-Man has kept its top spot in UK weekly sales for the second consecutive week despite Tomb Raider being a multi-platform game.
The sales of Shadow of the Tomb Raider were up 25% from its predecessor but couldn’t match the launch week sales of the reboot on the PS3 and Xbox 360. This doesn’t include the digital sales so there is a good chance that the drop is less severe if they are taken into consideration.
Marvel’s Spider-Man opened just 2 weeks ago and it managed to sell almost 2x the debut week sales of God of War. It was also the fastest selling game since Far Cry 5 launched earlier this year, getting closer to the multi-platform debut for it. This was an impressive result however the game has dropped just 42% in its second week, which indicates strong sales for it.
The result of top 10 selling software in the UK for this week was shared by GamesIndustry.biz and it includes Shadow of Tomb Raider at number 2. You can view the full chart below.
