Mass Effect Andromeda suffered a lot of criticism at launch, but this doesn’t hide the fact that it was good looking game. Now an update shows that it might be heading towards Xbox One X with a patch that will make it support the enhanced hardware.
This listing can be spotted on the Xbox Live Store page for Mass Effect Andromeda, as seen here. It shows that the game is now Xbox One X enhanced, even though there is no update for it on the actual Xbox One X. There could be some reasons behind it, and it can always end up as a mistake, but still, it will be nice to have some confirmation over it.
Update: The update for Mass Effect Andromeda is available to download now on Xbox One and it adds support for Xbox One X including rendering at a higher resolution.
Mass Effect Andromeda launched before Xbox One X was out, and it was never confirmed to get an update despite supporting the PS4 Pro. Those who play it on the Xbox One X have to deal with a low resolution as a result, while PS4 Pro owners can enjoy the benefit of a higher resolution on their console.
If the game is Xbox One X enhanced, it will be interesting to see what kind of rendering resolution and support is offered for it. Xbox One X games usually manage to hit native 4K like Red Dead Redemption 2, so Mass Effect Andromeda has a good chance of achieving it as well.
