Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s release date may still be a mystery, but not everything is in the dark.
Incase you missed the news or have never heard of MGS V: The Phantom Pain, the game is said to be Hideo Kojima’s final MGS game in which he will write, direct, design and produce. The story takes place after the events of MGS V: Ground Zeroes, but the Phantom Pain serves as a prequel to Metal Gear. Unlike other Metal Gear games The Phantom Pain will take place in a open world setting and feature Punished/Venom Snake as the protagonist.
Konami also released the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain earlier this year in the form of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Ground Zeroes received fairly positive reviews, but critics obviously slammed Konami for releasing a one and a half hour game for $40 with many claiming it to be a paid demo.
Kojima’s final MGS masterpiece showed itself to the gamers of the world with a 20+ minute gameplay video found below:
