Konami has revealed the rendering resolution for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on the Xbox One and PS4. According to the latest update on the official website, the game now runs at 900p on the Xbox One and 1080p on the PS4. Both will run it at 60 fps.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes ran at 720p on the Xbox One, which was shockingly low resolution for a game on current generation console. This resolution was even more strange because it ran at native 1080p on PS4. Both versions of the game were still 60 fps but PS4 had a slight advantage with visuals despite the gulf in resolution.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is also releasing on PS3 and Xbox 360 and just like Ground Zeroes, they will run it at sub-native 720p at 30 fps, which will be upscaled to 720p. PC version of the game supports 4K resolution at 60 fps.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be out on September 1st on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
