Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Street Date Has Been Broken, Early Twitch Streams Going Live

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s street date has been broken in various parts of the world including Europe and Middle East. Thanks to this broken street date, some of the early owners of Metal Gear Solid V are now streaming their gameplay on Twitch, mostly from the beginning of the game.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be officially released on September 1st, but some stores are already selling early copies of the game, as seen in the image shared by reddit user iqbalsn below. There were more shots of the disc packaging including the map but we are not linking them here due to potential spoilers.

Most of the Twitch streams that have gone live so far only show the prologue and the beginning. Some of them can be found on the official Twitch hub for Metal Gear Solid V. Almost all of them either get closed or the user, who is streaming the game, gets banned in order to stop any potential spoilers being spread ahead of the official launch. Still this doesn’t stop people from capturing and sharing video from these streams.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will possibly be the last Metal Gear Solid game created and directed by Hideo Kojima. Early reports have indicated that Kojima will leave Konami after the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game has received critical acclaim ahead of its launch and currently sits at a meta score of 95, making it the highest rated Metal Gear Solid game of all time.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be out on September 1st on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
