Metal Gear Solid V’s Latest Demo Has an Odd Reference to Kojima’s P.T Project

Metal Gear Solid V has received a brand new demo in time for Gamescom that gives us a detailed tour of the Mother Base. Eagle eyed users will be able to spot a reference to Kojima’s P.T demo, which is written on various objects around the Mother Base in the half hour long demo.

P.T was supposed to be a Playable Teaser for Silent Hills, which was going to be a Silent Hill reboot from Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro. It starred Norman Reedus and featured some unique scares and first person gameplay that turned out to be immensely popular.

Silent Hills was officially confirmed to be cancelled by Guillermo Del Toro earlier this year. P.T was also removed as a demo from the PlayStation Store and Konami even took the extra step of removing the game from the download list of all the users who had it downloaded before the removal.

In the latest Metal Gear Solid V demo, we can clearly see PT written on various objects like Walls, Containers and even Flags with a logo that looks to be a Spider. You can check it out in the screenshots below.

Metal Gear Solid V is currently set to release on September 1st on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. It will be the last Metal Gear Solid by Kojima, and possibly his last project at Konami.
