Monster Hunter World will feature a collaboration with PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn. The crossover is supposed to go live on January 26th and will be divided in two parts according to the official press release.
The first part of the collaboration will go live on January 26th, which is the launch day for the game. It will be likely a part of the day one update on the PS4. Since Horizon Zero Dawn is exclusive to the PS4, don’t expect to see this content on the Xbox One or PC.

The special collaboration is playable in the game in the form of a event called ‘Wild Teachings’ which is a 5-star required mission. You will have to be well prepared for this event with a level of HR6 or higher as it will require you to take down 8 Barnos, a Wingdrake monster.
If you are able to complete the mission successfully, you can obtain materials that will allow you to create a weapon “Machine Beast Neko Grinder” and a set of armor called the “Machine Beast Neko Series.” This is the translated name for the gear from the Japanese press release and the localized names might be different, as clarified by Siliconera.
The second part of this collaboration will deal with a weapon “Aloy’s Bow” for your main character along with a special set of armor that can make your appearance similar to Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. There is no estimate given on the release for Part 2 expect that it will arrive at a later date.
Monster Hunter World will launch on January 26th for the PS4, Xbox One and later in Autumn 2018 for the PC.
