Monster Hunter World sales have now passed 10 million worldwide after the smashing success of the game on Steam. This was seen with the early sales estimate by SteamSpy which now puts the overall range for the estimate between 2 million to 5 million. This number is an update from yesterday that was between 1 million to 2 million.
SteamSpy might offer a range for those without a registered account but a more accurate figure is available for those who have a premium subscription confirms that the sales number is north of 2 million. The last sales update on consoles gave us 8.3 million across the PS4 and Xbox One. If we combine this with the PC version sales, the game has now surpassed 10 million globally.
In addition to this, the concurrent user count hit a new high today with 329K users online on the game, as seen on Steam Charts. This is up from the 315K figure that the game had just a few days ago. This makes Monster Hunter World one of the most popular game on Steam after Grand Theft Auto V and Fallout 4, in concurrent users count. If the pace of the sales keeps this way, it is possible that the game might end up surpassing Grand Theft Auto V, which peaked at 360K.
Monster Hunter World is available now on PC. You can read our PC version review to find more details about the quality of the port.
