Capcom has announced their financial results and shared the sales update on Monster Hunter World, which is now well over 11 million units worldwide.
Monster Hunter World first launched for the PS4 and Xbox One in January 2018 and was later ported to the PC in August of that year. It did well on both PC and consoles where the combined sales total on all platforms so far is pushing ahead of 11 million.
Capcom is planning a massive expansion for Monster Hunter World called Iceborne which is due out in early 2019. They have also announced a collaboration with Witcher 3 where Geralt will appear as a playable character in the game.
Monster Hunter World has also done really well on PC where the sales have crossed 2 million units as per the last report. It is doing great on the PS4 and Xbox One as well.
Monster Hunter World is the fastest selling game released by Capcom that also became their best seller surpassing Resident Evil 5. It is the best selling Monster Hunter game worldwide beating many of the PSP and Nintendo 3DS game releases.
