The game size for Mortal Kombat 11 on the Nintendo Switch has been released and its pretty huge considering other games on the platform.
The game will require a sizable download the first time you start the game.
The final game size of Mortal Kombat 11 on the Nintendo Switch including all downloads is 22.53GB.
A Nintendo Switch Game Card or Cartridge comes in various sizes ranging from 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB with the higher capacity cards being more expensive to product. Apparently the base Mortal Kombat 11 game is just 6.537GB with the rest being an online download which includes the Day 1 Patch. Now we’re speculating here but it would be certainly disapointing to see if Warner Bros. skimped out and went for the cheaper card.
The update is sized in around 15.9GB so expect to be spending some time downloading it if you don’t have a super fast connection. Certainly disappointing for those expecting to play the game as soon as they would be able to get it.
Interestingly there’s 13 DLC listings for the game on the eShop backend, these are probably induvidual character DLCs and costumes.
Mortal Kombat 11 releases later this month on April 23 for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
