Mortal Kombat 11 will continue the tradition of offering a lengthy story mode. Time travel is nothing new for the series and Mortal Kombat 11 is going to double down on it, as seen in the recent trailer for the game that was first shown at the State of Play livestream hosted by Sony PlayStation.
Mortal Kombat 11 is bringing back some familiar faces to the game. In the new trailer, we get a more detailed overview of the time travel aspect of the story and also see familiar faces return to the series. Fans will be able to play as their favorite including Major Jackson “Jax” Briggs, Liu Kang and Kung Lao in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11.

So far, the characters that have been confirmed for the game include Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao and Jax Briggs with more to be revealed in the coming days.
Mortal Kombat 11 is also getting a closed beta that will start from March 27 and it is only available for those who pre-order the game on PS4 or Xbox One. The game will launch on April 23, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and at a later date for Nintendo Switch.
