A sequel to the much popular Halo franchise was announced recently, Halo 5: Guardians has appealed a significant amount of people including the team at GearNuke. A recent screen release showed a new character for the game. Surprisingly, the main character Master Chief was somewhat sidelined.
The title art shows a new soldier with a mysterious blue aura. If that wasn’t enough, Master Chief is shown as a reflection to the new character. This has aroused suspicion in a lot of people as Master Chief is main protagonist.
Seeing the blue glow in the helmet, some people concluded that the character was Cortana, Chief’s companion, and some people associated it with Palmer; Commander Sarah Palmer has appeared in Halo 4 and Halo : Spartan Assault. Executive producer of Halo, Josh Holmes gave a brief clarification on this matter as he says that this character is neither Palmer nor Cortana.
“Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4. That applies to the content and the scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine,” said 343 Industries’ General Manager Bonnie Ross.
Halo 5: Guardians is planned for a release on the Xbox One in Fall 2015.
