Just a little over a week before the release of the free Giant’s Shadow DLC for Battlefield 1, DICE has now released a short trailer for the update.
Titled, Giant’s Shadow, this DLC will include only two new items, a map set during the Battle of the Selle, and the new Grenade Crossbow weapon. The trailer, seen below, shows players engaged in firefights in the midst of an abandoned train-yard, with the remains of a massive zeppelin strewn all about.
We also get to see the new weapon in action, and surprisingly it does not utilize explosive arrows, but instead lobs entire grenades at targets. It also seems to be very effective against the armored train that will be present on the map.

With Giant’s Shadow comes the Grenade Crossbow, a powerful addition to the Support class’s arsenal. Based on one of many unique contraptions from the Great War, this gadget can silently fire two grenades of either the Fragmentation or High Explosive variety.
Giant’s Shadow is set to release on 13th December, 2016, for Premium Members, following which it will be made available to all others on 20th December, 2016, absolutely free of charge.
