Unfortunately, this player count was gimped in console version down from 64 to 24 players in Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 version of Battlefield 3. Now that next generation is starting soon, DICE has announced that Battlefield 4 will support 64 players on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
