New Dead Rising 4 Gameplay From Gamescom 2016

Gamescom 2016 is currently ongoing and brand new footage from Capcom’s Dead Rising 4 has appeared online. The video, featured below, comes to us courtesy of Gematsu.

Dead Rising 4 follows series veteran Frank West as he returns to the town of Willamette, Colorado around 16 years after the events of the original Dead Rising. The game has a distinct Christmas theme this time around and, unlike previous entries in the series, does not feature a timer.

The footage shows Frank using some of the weapons available in the game such as an improvised rocket launcher, a scattering laser, a flaming sword and many others such as the returning Roaring Thunder weapon combination. We also get an extended look at the new EXO-suit that will be available in the game, as Frank combines what appears to be a smoothie machine with it in order to give his attacks an ice elemental effect, as well as create cyclones of freezing air.

Another thing of note in the gameplay was the fact that players are now able to stealthily execute unaware zombies. This would be the first time that the franchise has ever incorporated a stealth mechanic into a game.
