New Dead Rising 4 Trailer Shows Off Some New Gameplay

Dead Rising 4 is just a few months away and now developer Capcom has revealed yet another trailer for the game.

The trailer, named Dead Rising 4: Return to the Mall, not only showcases some more gameplay and new weapons, but also gives players brief glimpses at some of the story elements in the game. The trailer is set in the Willamette Memorial Megaplex, and also includes an, as of yet unnamed, ally and multiple other military-esque enemies wielding guns.

Another small detail that might not be immediately obvious from the trailer, is that of Frank’s camera. As obvious from the image below, the camera will now serve as more than a tool for taking photographs, as it now features Night Vision and a Spectrum Analyzer.

For those who might not be aware, a Spectrum Analyzer is a device that can be used to detect and measure signal strength. How this will play into the game, we can only wait and see.

Dead Rising 4 is set 16 years after the events of the original Dead Rising game and features protagonist Frank West as he returns to the town of Willamette, Colorado. The game has a distinct Christmas theme this time around and, unlike previous entries in the series, does not feature a timer.

Capcom Has Released A Dead Rising 10th Anniversary Trailer

Dead Rising 4 is set to release on 6th December 2016, and will be a timed exclusive on the Xbox One and PC. A release for the PlayStation 4 is also set for next year. For an in-depth look at some of the gameplay from Gamesom 2016, click here.
