A Halo: Nightfall panel was held at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, new details regarding Halo: The Master Chief Collection were made public.
343 industries clarified that the Halo games included in the collection will only be a re-rendered edition of previous games; that is, the games will be the same as they were on previous consoles, glitches included. The soundtrack of the game has been refined with Skywalker Orchestra handling the honors.
There are over a 100 multiplayer maps gleamed from the PC, Xbox and Xbox 360 versions of the games. The multiplayer maps include Zanzibar, which was also announce at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend, Ascension and Coagulation. These are three of the six re-imagined maps to come with the game collection; look forward to more announcements at Gamescom this August.
As mentioned above, The Master Chief Collection will include all the glitches found in the previous games including the famous ones such as the Infinite Ammo Glitch. According to series director Frank O’Connor, the team plans on educating those who are unfamiliar with such glitches, so they know these are supposed to be included.
The collection will include all previous cut scenes along with new ones that will tie together the storylines from all the games; from Halo 1-4. There will also be a cut scene at the end of the storyline of Halo 4 which will fold into the story of Halo 5: Guardians.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to release on the 11th of November.
